A Guide To Airport Transfers
transfers.net compares suppliers for a transfer route of your choosing. When you’ve entered all your search information, we zoom off around the internet collecting the best prices for you.
You may notice we tend to include vehicles with a larger capacity for passengers than you asked for. This is intentional, we figured if there are 8 of you travelling for example, you may prefer to book a 10 seater coach rather than an 8 seater for more comfort as the price difference is often fairly small.
Booking A Transfer
When you click through to a company’s site from transfers.net we pass all the search information you gave us, saving you from having to input the information all over again. You may then go on and book your transfer.
Once you have booked you should receive a confirmation of your booking and a voucher by email and/or post. The voucher is the part you should take on your trip with you. It details all the information you need to know when arriving at the airport, and provides contact details should any problems arise.
Children and Infants
All the transfer companies consider infants and children as full passengers. Please keep this in mind when adding your search details.
Arriving at the Airport
When you land and go onto collect your baggage, normally as you enter the landside part of the airport you’ll see your driver / rep holding a sign with your name on, or at the very least a sign with the company name you booked the transfer with on it. Once you identify yourself and present your voucher, you’ll be whisked off to your transport.
Return Journey
The day before your return transfer, most companies require you to re-confirm your booking locally. It’s common practice, but slightly annoying. It’s not like you have to then phone the airline just to let them know you’re coming back!
If you’re staying at a hotel it’s often easier asking them to do it for you, and try to remember to phone during local business hours.
When it’s time for your collection be sure to be early, and definitely don’t be late.
Late Arrivals
If your flight is delayed on the way out, fear not. When you booked your transfer you will have entered your flight details, which will be monitored by the local agent on the ground. Your transfer will still be waiting for you when you arrive.
